My woodwind quintet, Starting Over will be performed Monday Nov 8 at 7:00 PM at the National Opera Center in Manhattan, 330 7th Avenue, 7th floor,/Manhattan, NYC NY.

This composition is the piece I was working on in March, 2014 when I suffered a cardiac arrest. It is only the second piece I’ve been able compose since the injury. I hope you’ll join me for my return to composing!

After finishing this piece, I enjoyed this group of instruments so much that I decided to turn the work into a traditional form of 4 movements. I have completed the 2nd and 3rd movements and have started on the 4th movement.

Returning to composing is the most exciting thing I’ve done in a very long time.
