New release track on Max Lifchitz’s performance of my work for solo piano, “Jade Dance”. This very difficult piece was written when I was a very young composer, not far removed from graduate program in composition at Brrooklyn College.

It’s sort of a musical depiction of a player piano coming to life but spinning out of control. It eventually gets too fast and too wild, that it just breaks down. Eventually it comes back to life to play the main theme one last time before shutting down with a loud thump.
