The Queens New Music Festival was once, again a huge success. Most of its success should be given to Tom Piercy. Tom is a gifted clarinetist, a wonderful Executive Director of Random Access Music, and a really nice person, to boot. Tom has guided RAM recently, and I am grateful for his support over the years–but especially now.
It was Tom’s idea to do the portrait concert of just my music.
Thank you to all the musicians who played my tunes, With special thanks to Max Lifchitz for playing my most challenging work I’ve ever written, Jade Dance for piano. Max has plans to record it for an album later this year!
